Welcome to the website of VaCO – the Vacation Chamber Orchestras. VaCO is a UK Registered Charity that runs residential chamber orchestra courses for advanced young musicians offering professional training in a relaxed but tutored environment.  Each course works in detail on the main repertoire as well as exploring one-per-part chamber music in spare time. 

Every place on our courses is highly subsidised, making these valuable career-development opportunities affordable for aspiring young musicians. VaCO is also committed to bringing live music to the widest possible audience. Because of this we are particularly keen on giving high quality concerts in areas where such events might be rare or infrequent. Where possible we like to combine these concerts with work in local schools to engage and encourage the children in live music-making.
